Student Experience in Interdisciplinary Liberal Arts
Interdisciplinary Liberal Arts students build connections across departments, ideas, and experiences.
Collaborate with faculty and classmates from a variety of disciplines, then extend your learning through student organizations, internships, education abroad, research, and service opportunities. These experiences expand your perspective and connections beyond the classroom, helping you develop practical skills and prepare for a wide range of careers and communities.
Internships & Practicums
Internships, practicums, and independent study are core experiential learning opportunities for you as an Interdisciplinary Liberal Arts major, providing professional and practical career training and introducing you to research and applied work experiences. All ILA students complete an internship (LB 487) and practicum (PB 495), developing or locating an opportunity tailored to your academic and professional interests and desires.
